So, I woke up this morning from my deep supine sleep. I started to roll my hands over my swollen eyes just a moment after seeing the light of the day. But still, since my eye gunk wasn't removed as likely as I wanted to be, I thought to sprinkle water over them. For that, I really had to drag myself out of bed and lumber into the bathroom. Finally, after finding myself fresh as ever, I went to fetch my toothbrush from my closet and then, went to take my toothpaste. While pouring the paste all over my brush, I went to the hall to put on TV for watching today’s “BREAKING NEWS”. After switching over channels from one to another, I finally stopped by the channel *** which is quite infamous for showing ineffective news. However, this time, the reason behind stopping at that very channel wasn’t because I am habituated to watching dull NEWS, but rather my all time favourite dish – MAGGI being shown as “Banned” from now on (at almost all the states in India) due to the high content of lead in it. The moment I saw it is banned, my ears wanted not to hear any such gibberish about Maggi anymore. In fact, I didn’t want to swallow the thought of Maggi being succumbed to death. I mean, how could Maggi possibly be embargoed!!! For a skinny guy like me, Maggi was actually everything. For a guy who is as lazy as I am, what more you want when the dish gets prepared in just 2 minutes with no pre-criteria of one-needs-to-be well-verse in cooking, and still one can manage to make such a yummy dish.
Sometimes, yes, it affects a lot when one stays fussy about choosing one’s food. It may jeopardize your way of living once the thing on which you count on the most started to evade away. Such is the case I am witnessing now. But, should I assume Maggi as the only culprit? (Knowingly or unknowingly, accompanied by accomplices, who were actually eating it, allowing Nestle to sell it so vehemently that no one dared before to check whether it is actually edible or not.)
If you ask me and willingly want my opinion, I will still hold Maggi’s side. Perplexed! Confused! How can anyone possibly back up Maggi? At least, at the time when it is averred that Maggi is not salubrious for health as it seemed earlier. It’s not the case where I still hold sentiments for Maggi, but rather, the obvious answer to the rhetorical question 'Is the Maggi only thing in the current Market that is not good for health? ' coerces me to take Nestle’s all time best product’s side.
In fact, unfortunately, Maggi was the 1st one to be on the list of India’s Food safety regulators for getting slaughtered mercilessly. There are many other products lying down the list, which once get on the death row, will surely make my earlier judgement holds true. To be quite honest, we are actually witnessing it now itself with our own eyes. I mean, finding live worms in Nestle’s baby powder (Adding insult to injury, for Nestle, the 2nd one on the list was also its own product.), dead worms flowing swiftly in Complan pack, crispy rat served instead of chicken in the KFC- Finger licking good, etc., all these events are more than needed for someone like me to take Maggi’s side. In fact, I am not holding Maggi’s side at all. I am actually advocating my support for the cause to throw all products like Maggi away, which are not good for health, even when they turn out to be my favourite.
But, crushing down all products like Maggi into rubble shouldn’t be done so blindly. The Food Safety regulators (at least all over in India) should first fixate upon the requisite and have the exact quantity of raw ingredients needed for all products available in the market as we are already witnessing the variance in proportions of raw ingredients for different state food safety regulators, where states like Telangana still letting people eat Maggi (for now at least) and territories like Goa completely eradicating Maggi from their own Market. Once, the exact proportion is set common (for all regulators) for raw ingredients of products already available or planning to come into the market, if any product still doesn’t qualify to be called as healthy product, then all these regulators should unanimously enumerate any such products which are highly deleterious to people’s health and then subsequently dumb them into the garbage, and make consistent efforts to never let them come out the woods.

- The points mentioned in this article are purely based on my perception. Being a citizen of a democratic country like India, you have all rights to either back me up or completely hold against me, at least in this context.
- And yes, as you must have got the idea that this article is not completed yet; it will be finished so, by debating over the steps that will be taken and those that need to be taken by our own central government in this regard. Till then, be anxious to know what’s next going to happen in my article based upon central government’s action.
