Where we all are occupied with thoughts of Cricket World Cup 2015, where we all are contemplating whether this time will it be a case of India - 'Won’t give it back' ? Or, to the contrary 'Will happily give it back'  to any other national team; there is still a thing we all are neglecting which is somewhat related to the host and i.e. Australia (Though New Zealand also accompanies it). In fact, this is the place to which I somehow represent through my work(Working for one of the clients from Australia as an IT Engineer). In last week where we all were busy enjoying league matches played in Australia, there was an incident that happened at the very place which has started to take heed of every Indian. This incident has been cynosure for everyone like me because of two reasons. First, for being an Indian but, there was this second thing that fetched my attention and i.e. for being an IT engineer.

From long past, we have all known about the legacy that Australia carries with it for being quite racist, especially towards Indians. But, there was something uncanny about this incident. The victim (Prabha Ananth Kumar) this time was one of the techies working for Mindtree company where she came to Sydney on a project assignment which was thought to be finished in this May. As per the sources, she got murdered when she was leaving for home from the office, where in the middle of a public walkway in Parramatta Park, Westmead, Sydney, she was fatally stabbed to death by an unknown assailant. Unfortunately, when this was actually happening, purportedly she was on a call with her better half where Mr Ananth Kumar heard the last voice of his child’s mother.

When Mindtree officials were questioned why she didn't get the office transport, the response from them really made me paranoid. They said that here,  in Sydney, public transport is excellent. Haplessly, Mrs Prabha added insult to injury by preferring public transport over that office use to provide. However, considering the worst case scenario, she should have been coerced to take office transport by officials. But, it was too late to make the right decision.

It was quite disheartening to see her husband going there and pleading Aussies people to come up with more intel if they have stumbled upon any of this. Also, It was disgruntling to see when he came back to Bengaluru, India with her dead body where many biggies along with many common people paid her homage.

Now, since many days have passed and still no luck to Aussie police, it is the onus of Indian government to force them to work hastily and to bring the perpetrator in front of everyone for letting everyone know for what reason he did such a blatant act. This case should not be overlooked both by the Aussie police and the Indian government. Also, it truly requires an utmost scrutiny to fetch the justice. This is the time Indian government needs to be far-removed from being incorrigible for letting everything go as the time rolls by.
